Apex Trader Customer Onboarding

No IBKR passwords are stored in the cloud. IBKR Gateway/TWS stays on the customer machine. Apex Relay sends read-only outbound snapshots.

Create Apex Relay key



1. Activate subscription
  1. Create account.
  2. Complete Stripe Checkout.
  3. Open Billing Portal any time for invoices/card changes.


2. Install IBKR Gateway
  1. Install IBKR Gateway or TWS.
  2. Log in locally and complete 2FA.
  3. Enable API / socket clients.
  4. Allow localhost only: 127.0.0.1.
  5. Use live/paper port configured by the customer.


3. Install Apex Relay
  1. Create relay key above.
  2. Run the Mac install script.
  3. Use APEX_CLOUD_ENDPOINT, APEX_WORKSPACE_ID and APEX_RELAY_KEY.
  4. By default the relay sends shared market intelligence only — no NLV, no positions, no open orders.
  5. Each customer can explicitly enable their own private IBKR broker panel locally with APEX_RELAY_INCLUDE_PRIVATE_BROKER=1.
Apex Relay is read-only in MVP. Cloud order execution is disabled. Never use Scott demo broker data as customer seed data.
